The Village of Waunakee is recruiting for a full-time Building and Facilities Manager position. This is newly created position is responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of all Village of Waunakee buildings and facilities. This position reports to the Director of Public Works and will supervise a team of full-time and part-time employees who will work to ensure clean, safe, and well-maintained facilities. This position requires knowledge and experience to operate and maintain a variety of plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems. 

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a related position is required.
  • Graduation from an approved high school or trade school.
  • A two-year degree in building maintenance preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical and maintenance repair work.
  • Considerable knowledge of construction and operation of mechanical equipment.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

The authorized 2024 starting salary range for this position is $35.19 to $43.95 per hour, DOQ, plus a competitive benefits package including health, dental, life, and disability insurances as well as participation in the WRS pension.
