Maintenance Administrative Assistant
General Description:
This position will provide administrative assistance and support to the Facility Manager and will help maintain effective and efficient operation of the entire Facilities Department. This is an entry to mid-level position.
Duties and Tasks:
Assist Facility Manager with a variety of administrative and business functions including facilities operation and maintenance, fiscal management, procurement, office services and human resources.
Represent the Facility Manager.
Exercises initiative and independent judgment in coordinating the daily activities of the Facilities Department.
Keeps the staff informed when the Facility Manager is absent.
Exercises sound judgment in a calm, professional demeanor to effective & efficiently deal with a wide range of issues brought to the Facilities Office.
Provides exemplary customer service, independently answers the telephone and email inquiries and troubleshoot problems.
Answers incoming phone calls and handles visitors in a courteous, competent and professional manner.
Maintain extensive knowledge of the College, campus and state policies and procedures.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

Required KSAs:
Ability to prioritize work.
Strong organizational, administrative and customer service skills.
Excellent command of the English language and proofreading skills.
Ability to work independently and to deal with people in a patient and friendly manner.
Good telephone etiquette.
Ability to interpret and follow oral and written rules and regulations.
Excellent computer skills in MS OFFICE Suite, networks, and electronic mail.
High initiative, positive attitude, and detail orientation.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Some previous office experience.

Associate’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Experience in Computer Base Maintenance programs.
