GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The City of Lexington will operate 5 public pools in the Summer of 2024. The Pool Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of their assigned public pool, ensuring a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for patrons. This role involves managing seasonal staff, maintaining proper pool water chemistry and filtration systems, handling financial reporting, scheduling employees, providing staff training, enforcing pool rules, and assisting with facility maintenance. The ideal candidate will be customer service-oriented, detail-oriented, and capable of working weekends, holidays, and undergoing necessary trainings.

The Golf Tournament Operations Assistant plays a key role in creating memorable and well-executed golf tournaments, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the organization within the golfing community.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must be possess a valid driver’s license

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Manage seasonal staff including lifeguards, cashiers, and other pool personnel.
• Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the swimming environment.
• Monitor and maintain proper pool water chemistry and filtering systems.
• Prepare and provide financial reports to management.
• Develop employee work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
• Conduct staff training sessions on safety procedures, customer service, and pool operations.
• Notify patrons of pool rules and enforce compliance.
• Assist with bathhouse and pool maintenance and cleaning tasks.
• Foster a friendly and welcoming customer service atmosphere.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Required qualifications.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.
• Willingness to undergo required trainings before and during the season.
• Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring a safe swimming environment.

Preferred qualifications

• Lifeguard certification preferred.
• Proven experience in pool management or related field.

Physical demands and work environment

• Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and walk
