The St Louis Post-Dispatch is accepting applications for a Classified Advertising Representative for our inbound Obituary department. This position is responsible for processing funeral notices/obituaries & in memoriam notices received from families and funeral homes assisting with the services.

The qualified candidate has strong communication, computer and customer service skills and is organized and detail-oriented.

Duties for this position:
  1. Promptly answer and return phone calls/emails in a polite & professional manner.
  2. Establish professional relationships and work with customers to determine needs and ensure satisfaction; communicate products and services such as use of logos, photos, self-serve options and the like.
  3. Schedule, process, and secure obituary placements for print publication/online platform(s); receive and key all customer data into ordering system; set-up billing account, process credit card transactions and final confirmation/follow-up.
  4. Participate in all required training sessions.
  5. Provide proof of publication/tear sheets to customers and processes related fees upon request.
  6. Monitor and process requests received through company email, self-serve system, & direct phone calls.
  7. Other projects and duties as assigned.
  8. Regular and reliable attendance is required.

This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule including Saturdays.
