Eastern Washington University (EWU) seeks an experienced, dynamic, and inclusive leader to serve as the next Dean of the College of Professional Programs.

Established in 2021, the College of Professional Programs offers transformational learning experiences that empower and prepare students for successful careers in their chosen professions. The college offers 33 graduate programs, 27 certificates, 28 majors, and 23 minors through the schools of Business and Professional Accounting, Education, Psychology, and Social Work, as well as through the Interdisciplinary Studies program. The college graduated more than 1,800 students in 2023.

In addition to the schools, the dean oversees the EWU Libraries and Learning Commons as well as the Center for Aging Studies, Family Resource and Training Center, Archaeological and Historical Services, Center for Entrepreneurship, and Institute for Public Policy and Economic Analysis.

Eastern Washington University is a regional, comprehensive public university and one of six state-funded four-year institutions of higher education in Washington. EWU offers bachelor's and master's degrees in more than 100 fields of study as well as applied doctorates in physical therapy and educational leadership, providing accessible pathways to career success and personal development to students of all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. The university enrolls more than 10,000 students, more than 30% of whom are in the College of Professional Programs.

To be considered, candidates must have a terminal degree in a discipline within the College of Professional Programs or a closely related field, a minimum of 3 years of successful experience in leadership positions, and a record of teaching, research or creative activities, and professional service sufficient to merit appointment as a tenured professor or associate professor in a department or school within the college.

Compensation and Benefit Information: The compensation range for this position is $170,000 to $200,000. On top of salary, the university offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, life and disability insurance, and retirement. In addition, EWU offers generous vacation and sick leave accruals, 12 paid holidays per year, and fringe benefits, such as tuition waiver for employees, discounted EWU sports tickets, and free transportation through STA buses.
